Pressure-Sensitive Seal

Pressure-sensitive self-sealing discs are an effective solution for the airtight and secure closing of containers with circular threaded necks. Manufactured from polystyrene foam with a pressure-activated adhesive, they allow for a reliable seal without the need for thermal induction equipment, simplifying their application in industrial and laboratory settings.

Their operation is simple: the disc is placed inside the cap with the printed side facing it, and by screwing the closure onto the container, the adhesive is activated by pressure. After a consolidation period of approximately 24 hours, an optimal adhesion is obtained that acts as a barrier against spills, leaks, humidity, and air ingress.

In addition to their sealing function, these discs act as a guarantee seal, as upon opening the container, the disc remains adhered to the rim of the container, providing evidence of any previous tampering. This makes them a particularly suitable solution for the pharmaceutical, food, cosmetic, and chemical sectors.

They are particularly recommended for solid or high-viscosity products, such as powders, tablets, capsules, ointments, or condiments. Their use is not recommended with aqueous liquids or oily substances, as these may compromise the effectiveness of the seal.

The material offers good adaptability to slightly irregular surfaces, ensuring a uniform and secure seal. Its disposable nature ensures hygienic use and prevents inappropriate reuse.

Available in multiple diameters, these discs are compatible with a wide range of wide-mouth containers, allowing the appropriate size to be selected according to the type of container.
