Laboratory Stirring Rod
Stirring rods in glass or polypropylene.
Precise mixing without contamination. Autoclavable.
Laboratory stirring rods are designed for the homogeneous mixing of solutions, facilitating the dissolution of solutes, the controlled incorporation of reagents, and the safe transfer of liquids. They are available in soda-lime glass or polypropylene (PP), adapting to different needs in laboratory use.
Glass rods have a smooth, polished, and non-porous surface that prevents the adsorption of substances and minimizes the risk of cross-contamination. Manufactured from transparent soda-lime glass, they offer good chemical resistance and dimensional stability, making them suitable for most applications with aqueous solutions. They are available in diameters of 6 mm and lengths of 200 mm, 250 mm, 300 mm, and 400 mm. They support autoclave sterilization up to 130 °C.
Polypropylene rods stand out for their lightness and high chemical resistance, being especially useful in applications where it is necessary to minimize the risk of scratching or manipulating sensitive substances. They have a diameter of 7 mm and a length of 300 mm, with a working temperature range between −20 °C and 135 °C. They are suitable for autoclave sterilization at 121 °C.
Both materials allow easy cleaning with water and mild detergent, promoting the maintenance of hygienic conditions and the reproducibility of tests. Their robust design guarantees a long service life and reliable performance in continuous use.
These rods constitute an essential tool in analytical, research, educational, and quality control laboratories, providing precision, safety, and versatility in every application.
A practical and durable solution for the stirring and handling of liquids in scientific environments.
