Kipp Apparatus with Accessories
Kipp's gas generator in glass, designed for controlled gas production in the laboratory.
Three-chamber system with automatic reaction regulation. Ground connections for maximum tightness. Available in different capacities. Ideal for chemical and educational applications.
The Kipp gas generator is a laboratory device designed for the controlled production of gases through a chemical reaction between a solid reactant and a liquid reactant.
Its classic design of three interconnected chambers allows gas to be generated safely, regulated, and on demand, being especially useful in applications where controlled volumes of gas are required without the need for pressurized systems.
The equipment is made of glass, with ground connections that guarantee a hermetic seal and excellent chemical resistance.
Operating Principle
The system is composed of three main sections:
Upper Sphere: contains the liquid reactant
Lower Sphere: holds the solid reactant
Central Chamber: collects the generated gas
When both reactants come into contact, the gas-generating chemical reaction occurs.
The gas flow is regulated by an outlet valve. When closed, the internal pressure displaces the liquid reactant towards the upper sphere, automatically interrupting the reaction. This mechanism allows safe and efficient control of the process.
