The glass test tubes with screw caps are designed to offer safety, resistance, and precision in laboratory, research, and formulation applications. Manufactured in accordance with ASTM E-438 and CE regulations, they guarantee quality and reliability in professional settings.
Made of neutral glass type 4.9 or borosilicate glass 3.3, they exhibit excellent chemical resistance, stability against thermal variations, and inert behavior, avoiding interactions with the contained substances. The wall thickness, between 0.9 mm and 1.2 mm, provides mechanical robustness and durability even under demanding conditions.
The design with a rounded base favors homogeneous agitation of the samples and facilitates cleaning, preventing accumulations in hard-to-reach areas.
These tubes incorporate DIN18 screw cap systems available in two configurations:
– Polypropylene (PP) cap with PTFE insert: allows autoclaving up to 121 °C, offering high chemical resistance and a completely airtight seal, ideal for microbiological applications, chemical analysis, and storage of sensitive solutions.
– Aluminum cap with EPE insert: provides a tight seal and superior aesthetic presentation in gold or silver finishes. It is not suitable for autoclaving and cleaning is recommended using mild solutions or alcohol, followed by drying.
Available in different dimensions, such as 16 × 100 mm (14 ml) and 16 × 160 mm (23 ml), they adapt to multiple work needs in the laboratory, cosmetic industry, food, or technical applications.
