Spectrophotometric cuvettes made of optical glass and UV synthetic quartz are essential elements for making precise measurements in spectroscopic analysis. Their design and optical quality ensure uniform radiation transmission, a key factor for obtaining reliable and reproducible results in the laboratory.
The range includes two types of material, each adapted to different wavelength ranges. Optical glass is suitable for measurements in the visible and near-infrared range, with a spectral window approximately between 340 and 2500 nm, while UV synthetic quartz expands the field of application up to wavelengths of 190 nm, being indispensable in analyses that require high permeability in the ultraviolet region.
Both variants are produced using controlled manufacturing processes that guarantee homogeneous, parallel, and optically polished surfaces, reducing light scattering and improving the precision of measurements. This level of finish contributes to maintaining high signal stability and minimizing analytical errors.
From a chemical point of view, these cuvettes show high resistance to aggressive solutions, including concentrated acids and bases, as well as common organic solvents in the laboratory, maintaining their optical and structural properties after prolonged exposure under controlled conditions.
Their normalized geometry ensures compatibility with most spectrophotometers available on the market, allowing precise positioning and correct alignment during reading. They are offered with different optical path lengths, generally between 1 mm and 50 mm, which allows adapting the sample volume and analysis sensitivity to the specific needs of each application.
These cuvettes are widely used in analytical chemistry, quality control, biotechnology, clinical analysis, and research, where the accuracy of measurements depends directly on the optical quality of the material used.
