Documents
The Erlenmeyer flask with baffles is a laboratory container designed for microbiological applications and cell cultures that require adequate aeration and homogenization of the medium. Its geometry with a semi-globular base and internal baffles promotes liquid turbulence during agitation, improving oxygenation and optimizing conditions for cell growth.
Manufactured from borosilicate glass 3.3 in accordance with ISO 3585, it offers high chemical resistance to common aqueous solutions, acids, bases, and organic solvents, maintaining its stability even under demanding conditions. It exhibits excellent Class 1 hydrolytic resistance, high acid resistance, and appropriate behavior against bases, ensuring its reliability in a wide variety of applications.
The set includes a lid and pouring ring made of polypropylene, materials that allow for autoclaving up to 140 °C, facilitating its reuse in processes that require sterile conditions. This combination of materials ensures durability and compatibility with repeated sterilization cycles without loss of properties.
The glass has a low thermal expansion coefficient, which gives it notable resistance to thermal shock, with a maximum working temperature of approximately 500 °C. These characteristics allow its use in processes involving controlled thermal changes without compromising the integrity of the container.
Each unit has visible graduation to facilitate approximate measurements during use and is identified to ensure traceability. Its robust and functional design makes it a reliable solution for research laboratories, quality control, and academic environments that require precision, resistance, and efficiency in handling cultures and solutions.
