The Nahita Model 801 Analog Rotational Viscometer is a device designed for the precise measurement of viscosity in a wide variety of substances, covering a working range of 10 to 100,000 mPa·s (cP). It offers an accuracy of ±1% and a repeatability of 0.5% in Newtonian fluids, ensuring reliable results in analytical applications.
The equipment is supplied with four measuring spindles (No. 1, 2, 3, and 4), allowing the measurement to be adapted to different viscosity levels. Spindle No. 0 is optionally available —upon request—, specially designed for low-viscosity substances and requiring prior calibration along with the equipment.
The system allows selecting between four rotation speeds (6, 12, 30, and 60 rpm), facilitating the optimization of measurement conditions based on the fluid's behavior. This versatility makes it suitable for analyzing oils, lubricants, paints, coatings, lacquers, and food or cosmetic formulations.
Its design incorporates a base with three threaded feet that allow precise leveling, along with a robust column equipped with a rack-and-pinion mechanism and a fixing clamp, which facilitates the height adjustment of the head with total stability. The oscillating spindle clamping system simplifies installation and improves the operability of the equipment.
The head has dimensions of 260 × 140 × 320 mm (without support), and the set is supplied in a resistant metal case that facilitates its transport and storage.
The selection of the spindle and working speed is made based on the expected viscosity range. If unknown, it is recommended to start with the largest spindle at low speed and adjust progressively until the optimal reading is obtained.
Indicative measurement table:
– 6 rpm: up to 100,000 mPa·s depending on spindle
– 12 rpm: up to 50,000 mPa·s
– 30 rpm: up to 20,000 mPa·s
– 60 rpm: up to 10,000 mPa·s
