Capillary Tubes for Melting Point Determination
These capillary tubes are suitable for holding minute quantities of liquid and determining the melting point of different samples, particularly fats. Their narrow diameter enables precise observation of the changes occurring during heating.
Manufactured from soda-lime glass, they feature square-cut ends, with one end open and the other closed. Designed for single use, each tube is 80 mm long, with an external diameter of 1.5 mm and an internal diameter of 1.2 mm.
The dimensional tolerance is ± 1 mm for length and ± 0.05 mm for diameter. Supplied in a transparent cylindrical glass case containing 100 units. Marienfeld Superior.
