The BOD bottle, with a total capacity of 300ml and made of borosilicate glass, is designed for the determination of biochemical oxygen demand (BOD5) in water samples incubated for five days at 20°C.
Graduated up to 250ml in 25ml intervals, with a labelling area for sample identification. The ground-glass stopper with a tapered tip displaces the excess liquid on closing and reduces the risk of trapping air bubbles. The flared mouth allows a water seal to form around the stopper, limiting air ingress during incubation.
