The Coplin-type staining jar is designed for the efficient processing of slides in a vertical orientation, providing a practical and safe solution for staining procedures in the laboratory. Manufactured from polypropylene (PP), it combines chemical resistance, thermal stability, and lightness, which are essential characteristics for its continued use in analytical environments.
Its capacity allows it to hold up to 5 standard slides measuring 26 × 76 mm, which can be expanded up to 10 units by placing them back-to-back, thus optimizing performance in staining processes. This vertical arrangement promotes uniform exposure of the samples to the reagents, contributing to homogeneous and reproducible results.
The container incorporates an airtight lid that reduces the evaporation of reagents and minimizes external contamination, improving safety during handling. Its compact design, with an approximate height of 115 mm (including the lid) and a base diameter of 65 mm, facilitates its integration into reduced workspaces.
Thanks to the properties of polypropylene, the jar is compatible with autoclave sterilization processes up to 135 °C, allowing its reuse under controlled conditions without compromising its structural integrity.
This device is especially suitable for applications in histology, microbiology, and clinical analysis, as well as in educational and research settings where a reliable system for staining microscopic preparations is required.
