The portable refractometer for veterinary use is an optical instrument specifically designed for the rapid and accurate evaluation of clinical parameters in animals, allowing the determination of urinary density in canines and felines, as well as the concentration of serum proteins.

This equipment incorporates differentiated scales for dog and cat urine, with a measurement range of 1.000 to 1.060 S.G., in addition to a scale for serum proteins from 2 to 14 g/100 ml. Its precision reaches 0.001 S.G. in urinary density and 0.1 g/100 ml in proteins, providing reliable results for diagnosis and clinical monitoring.

Equipped with Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC), it adjusts measurements according to environmental conditions, ensuring accuracy without the need for manual corrections. Calibration is referenced to 20 °C, facilitating quick setup using distilled water.

Its metallic structure offers resistance and durability, suitable for intensive use in veterinary clinics and laboratories. The eyepiece with diopter adjustment allows for clear reading adapted to the user, improving precision in the interpretation of results.

Operation is simple and intuitive: a small amount of sample is placed on the prism, the cover is closed, and the instrument is oriented towards a light source to obtain immediate reading.
