Self-adhesive indicator tape of sterilisation

The sterilization indicator tape is a reactive material designed to provide a rapid visual verification of compliance with sterilization parameters in thermal processes. Made with paper coated with natural rubber adhesive, it features self-adhesive properties that ensure secure fixation on containers, wraps, or materials throughout the cycle.

It incorporates a printed chemical indicator in the form of light-colored bands that change to dark brown or black after exposure to adequate temperature and time conditions. This chromatic change allows visual confirmation that the material has been subjected to the sterilization process.

The tape responds to common sterilization parameters, such as 120 °C for at least 20 minutes, 125 °C for 10 minutes, or 135 °C for 5 minutes, making it suitable for standard applications in the laboratory, healthcare environment, and industry.

Thanks to its formulation, it offers clean removal without leaving residue after the process, facilitating its practical use in daily work. It is compatible with package sealing procedures or closing containers intended for sterilization.

Due to its hygroscopic nature, it is recommended to store it in its original packaging, protected from moisture, to maintain its functional properties. Under suitable storage conditions, it has a shelf life of up to 24 months.

It is important to note that this tape acts only as a visual indicator of exposure to sterilization conditions and does not replace validation systems or biological control of the process.
